'Hawaiaka' Sacred Plant Ceremonies, Every Sun Evening, Kona, Hawaii
With Shaman Jack 'Golden Feather' and Dr.ZZ
Open Dates
‘Hawaiaka’ is a sacred, entheogenic brew made from indigenous Hawaiian plants in the same family as South American Ayahuasca. Drinking the ceremonial brew provides participants with an approximately 6-hour psychoactive, psychotropic experience that induces a spiritual episode aimed at, literally, “becoming one with God, Nature, the Cosmos, All That IS.”
In Hawaiian language, “Ha” means breath of life, “wai” is a code word for mana, life force energy, and “aka” alludes to clarity, reflection and the desire for peace. More than just a momentary episode, ‘Hawaiaka’ offers users life-enhancing, entheogenic insight that, much like what happens when you visit Hawaii, takes place inside you and remains within you as you move forward in your life.
‘Hawaiaka’ Sacred Plant Ceremonies take place on New Year’s Eve and on every consecutive Sunday evening throughout the year at dusk until approximately midnight. Muaisa Hale Pule (“As I Aum” Sanctuary) is a church without walls that meets “from house to house” and in the majesty of some of Hawaii’s most pristine habitats. ”Hawaiaka’ gatherings are a ceremonial opportunity, led by authentic, traditionally-recognized shamans, who prepare the ancient, psychoactive brew for people to interact with the entheogenic plant teachers of Hawaii and the Southwest Pacific Rim — on location, in the habitat where the plants live, breathe and surround you.
“This brew took a very definite hold of me in a way I hadn’t quite experienced before. It didn’t have that heavy, physical, ayahuasca sensation; so it was clearer than ayahuasca. The jungle around me took on a beautiful, crisp glow. Things seemed to pulse and flow in a rhythm that I was part of .The insects and frogs chirping away seemed to speak a language that I could almost understand.”
— A seasoned sacred plant explorer
One of the central themes of working with Sacred Plants is to experience yourself as being one with nature and as an integral part of the natural world. What better place to connect to a greater sense of “being” and contentment than in Hawaii?
